NG Tunnelling was contracted to deliver a new storm water utility connection beneath a public highway in Southwark, London, via timber heading to minimise surface disruption.

The project scope included:
● Shaft Construction: Excavation and construction of a 4-metre deep access shaft on site to facilitate the heading works.
● Tunnel Drive: Execution of a 12-metre long timber heading drive to connect to the existing Thames Water manhole located beneath the carriageway.
● Compliance & Licensing: Acquisition of the Section 50 License and final project sign-off documentation from Thames Water.
